About the Event

Social Enterprise NI is delighted to announce that our Bi-Weekly Zoom at Noon will return on Tuesday 15th June 2021 with Employers For Childcare being the guest Speaker.

Chris Briggs, Senior Family Benefits Advisor with Employers For Childcare’s Family Benefits Advice Service will join our bi-weekly Zoom at Noon to outline details of the service the team provides and how they can support your organisation, your employees and those who use your services.

The Family Benefits Advice Service operates a Freephone helpline and outreach service, advising on a wide range of childcare and work-related issues – including on the financial support available to families. This service is available to employers, parents and childcare providers and the team can deliver online or telephone advice sessions to individuals and groups including:

  • employers (eg for a group of new employees, or as part of a well-being or employee support programme)
  • childcare providers (eg for new families using the service)
  • parents / service-users (eg as part of a scheduled weekly group, or on a ‘one off’ basis)

Most families are entitled to some form of financial support with childcare, but many are not aware of this and it can be a major barrier to parents getting into and staying in work – so why not support your employees by signposting them to the Family Benefits Advice Service for advice and guidance?

We can also advise employers on issues around ‘family friendly working’. As more organisations prepare for a return to the workplace, we expect employers to receive increased requests for flexible working – whether that’s a blended or hybrid approach to where they work, or another form of flexible working. We can support employers to help their employees achieve a positive work-life balance, while also ensuring business and organisational objectives are met.
