A programme for Digital Social Innovation

Techies in Residence (TiR) is focused on creating powerful change within communities through digital technology.

Digital technology holds huge potential to help the VCSE sector develop new innovative solutions to address community challenges and issues. This has become even more evident in light of the outbreak of COVID 19 with many organisations grappling with the shift to digital working – and how best to respond to it.

We have partnered with the Centre for Acceleration of Social Technology (CAST), offering free online 'Design Hop' workshops to support organisations explore their digital needs, providing digital support for new and old challenges faced by organisations.

A Design Hop, will guide organisations through the design thinking process, exploring the role of digital in their charitable services. These free workshops will provide a step-by-step approach to help plan and prioritise new digital technology within an organisation services. This will also act as the initial exploratory activity to see if the Techies in Residence programme will meet their needs (an information session on the TiR programme will be available within each Design Hop workshop.)

*Please note it is NOT a requirement to apply to Techies in Residence after you have signed up to a Design Hop. This is a digital support programme for organisations to assess their organisations digital needs.
