Chara Clarke joins Social Enterprise Northern Ireland board
Introducing our newest Social Enterprise Northern Ireland board member, Chara Clarke Partnership & Development Officer at Hourglass Charity.
We are delighted to have Chara on board as she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge about the social enterprise sector. We are very much looking forward to working with Chara and know that she will be a real asset to the organisation.
Chara founded GLOW (Giving Life Opportunities to Women) a Belfast Based Charity & Social Enterprise delivering personal development and well-being programmes to women and girls across Northern Ireland. Earlier this year, she took up a new role at UK Charity Hourglass representing Northern Ireland & Scotland. This involves working and collaborating with likeminded organisations to raise awareness about the abuse of older people and to also promote the 1:1 services that Hourglass provides to prevent harm & exploitation of older people
Speaking about her appointment as a new SENI board member, Chara Clarke said: “I am really passionate about equipping the local community to empower them to make positive change through charity & Social Enterprise work.”
Welcoming Chara to the board, Colin Jess, Chief Executive of SENI said:
“We are delighted that Chara has agreed to join the Board of Social Enterprise NI. Chara brings a wealth of knowledge of operating across the social economy and her input will be a huge asset to the organisation. The sector is growing in numbers and influence and Chara will have a role to play in help driving this.”
