Congratulations to all newly elected members to the 11 local councils.

Social Enterprise NI would like to congratulate all newly elected members to the 11 local councils. There will be many areas that will require your attention in your first few months, however we would ask that you think positively towards engaging with ourselves as the representative body for the sector, as well as individual social economy businesses across your council area.

In these times of austerity, we need to do business differently and support a business model which not only supports the economy, but a model that creates jobs and opportunities for those who may find it difficult to enjoy employment by any other means.

We look forward to meeting you all over the coming months at various events but will be in contact to support you in understanding how local policies can make a real difference to individuals and companies within your council area.
