Take part in online NI Business Support survey (Ulster University)

The following research is being conducted by Jackie Smyth from Ulster University who is seeking to explore the current business support provision in NI for students and graduates.

Please see below for more details and link to participate in the survey.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of current entrepreneurship support in Northern Ireland specifically provided to third level students and recent university graduates who have or are in the process of starting up their own business enterprises. The resulting findings will be used as follows:

  1. As part of my academic qualification at Ulster University

  2. To better inform current entrepreneurship support at Ulster University to improve the support to students pursuing a self-employment route.

  3. To provide key policy makers and business support organisations in Northern Ireland with recommendations for future support required by student and graduate entrepreneurs.

If you (or any of your connections) have graduated between 2017-2023 from any UK or Irish University/College and are starting up or running a business or social enterprise in NI, please help by completing the survey below.

Jackie would be keen to hear from those who started to set up in business but were unsuccessful. All data will be treated as anonymous for purposes of analysis.
