Social Enterprise Futures - 25th - 26th Nov 2020

Event Date:
26 November 2020
Description - please include timings of event or note if all day.:
Social Enterprise NI is delighted to have joined forces with Social Enterprise UK, Social Enterprise Scotland & The Wales Co-Operative Centre to present Social Enterprise Futures 2020, a celebratory event which will take place online on 25th – 26th November 2020. The event will replace our Annual Awards which we were unable to run this year but will profile the best of social enterprises across the UK and how they have stepped up and adapted over the past 7 months. A big part of this event will be the 2020 Roll of Honour recognising those individuals who are at the heart of the social enterprise movement, and who over the course of an extremely challenging year have demonstrated the strength, passion and resilience which is so characteristic of the sector. We want you to get your name and organisation recognised! So, this event is for you. We want those that are recognised to be nominated directly by you. This is an opportunity for you to let us know about your peers who have been going above and beyond to support the communities you work with over the last year. This is by no means limited to those in a leadership position and is open to everyone in the social enterprise community. The Wednesday afternoon session of the Social Enterprise Futures event will be given over to looking back and celebrating the amazing work of social enterprises in 2020. How do I nominate someone? We are extremely keen that the powerful work carried out by you and your colleagues is profiled and recognised across the wider UK. All nominations are to be done through Twitter using #SocEntFutures. Mention the name of the person you’re tagging, what they do and what they’ve done this year. We will invite some of those nominated to join us on stage at Social Enterprise Futures to tell their stories, others will be featured via video, and everyone nominated will be acknowledged in our 2020 Roll of Honour. Nominations are a public process so even by nominating them you are giving them a shout out to the rest of the sector! So, get nominating, we want to profile as many amazing stories as possible from Northern Ireland! Sample Twitter copy Keep it simple and remember you only have 280 characters to use! I am nominating @ for the #SocEntFutures 2020 Roll of Honour. They do… and this year they have…. Also, Social Enterprise NI is delighted to be able to make a limited number of Bursaries available for members. If anyone is interested in attending the above event, please email and ask for a Social Enterprise NI bursary to attend the event (there are 30 places on offer at this stage).
