The voice for Social Enterprises & Social Entrepreneurs in Northern Ireland. Connecting, supporting, developing and sustaining vibrant businesses to create social change.

Tender and grant alerts

For many years the Social Enterprise sector in Northern Ireland has called for legislation to ensure that social value is included in public procurement.

Through the introduction of Social Enterprise NI, a voice for the local social enterprise sector, this call has intensified and we are delighted that in early 2017 it was confirmed that Northern Ireland will receive its own Social Value legislation.

Sported is a leading Sport for Development charity, helping to transform the lives of disadvantaged young people across the UK.

They are launching a number of new member services – including an exciting new ‘light touch’ mentor support – and so I am looking to expand our team of Sported volunteers within NI. These volunteer mentors should have experience in: Business Planning, Strategic Planning, Fundraising, Governance, Finance, Evaluation & Impact, or Marketing & PR.

Attached is a short document outlining the role of a Sported volunteer.

Business on Board is Business in the Community’s free, web-based matching service which aims to strengthen the not-for-profit sector in Northern Ireland by increasing business representation and impact on the boards and management committees of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations.
