Young Finance Centre

The Young Finance Centre is a brand new project that has been commissioned by the Money and Pensions service to support 16-24 year olds in Northern Ireland to manage their money.

As an advocator of young people, you can refer them to us – for free – so that they can benefit from simple, free advice about their money.

This is a very uncertain time, and we are here to support your students to manage their money, ask questions, and be mindful of their mental health.

The Young Finance Centre is a free, online resource where young people can:

·        Talk directly to our money adviser, via web-chat, about their money worries

·        Be referred to a local advice organisation who can give them free support with their finances

·        Access a wealth of online tools to help them manage money and mental health.

We can also offer both you and your team members the following complimentary services:

·        Digital directories of local and national services

·        Digital resources on money management, reducing spending and prioritising debt

·        Fortnightly newsletters featuring the latest news on money management and what’s happening locally in the sector.

·        The opportunity to have one of your news stories or articles promoted on our social media pages in our ‘Article of the Week’

·        Free ‘train-the-practitioner’ training via webinar on a 2 hour Money Management module that you can deliver either digitally or face-to-face with your young adult participants.

The website, which went live on Monday 4 May, can be found at:
