What is the Social Enterprise NI Young Persons Panel?

The Social Enterprise NI Young Persons Panel aims to give a voice to young people, who are passionate about social action and ethical issues or want to be a change maker and want to make sure that young people have a voice in influencing how these issues are addressed and bringing new and fresh ideas to the table on ways to deal with those very issues in society.

Who are we looking for? 

Social Enterprise NI want to welcome anyone who will give a voice for young people, from any walk of life and who wants to make a difference. You do not have to be an expert in social enterprise and although we would like some of the panel members to have experience in the sector, equally we would like some panel members to be from outside of the sector to give us diverse perspectives and experiences.

Panel members should be aged between 18-30 years old and live in Northern Ireland.

Our ask would be that you are able to commit to attending group meetings no more than four times a year, in addition to any voluntary learning hours you would like to commit to.  Our aim is to support your personal development as well as raising the profile of the social enterprise sector among the young people across NI. In joining the panel you will be a voice for social enterprise and have the opportunity to guide and develop the future strategy of the sector going forward.

• Develop new skills, knowledge, and insights.

• Meet like-minded young people and make a difference.

• Enhance your CV with skills and experiences.

• Meet and learn from experts in the sector; and

• See behind the scenes of how a representative body, like Social Enterprise NI operates.

• You will receive an email within 48 hrs to confirm we have received your completed application

• We will be in touch week beginning 7 March on next steps

• Young Person's Panel will be put in place and press release will be made across social media
